Great Aunt Nellie

Nellie Sharron

Aunt Nellie was my maternal Grandmother's (Nana) sister.

According to my cousin Lisa St Perrre, She has upwards of 25 cats at one time, only a couple of dogs though 😂. Lisa remembers her as loving and friendly.

She used to love going there as a kid. Her mother, Aunt Jackie, always used to have a hard time breathing after awhile when she was there. The place smelled of pneumonia (cat urine).

It was always certain that you would be offered chocolate cake and milk infused with cat hair. Her brother, Ricky is 14 years older than she is and they shared the same experiences there.

Nellie was such a colorful character and a polar opposite of Nana.

According to my Uncle David told me that she passed away when she was 96.  She still had her "brain intact" and that she had copious info on the Martin-Sharron family history. When Uncle David moved to SC in 1984, Nelliw informed him "it was appropriate because he was part Cherokee Indian" and a native of South Carolina.
